Step 1: Let’s chat

Let Hand-Me-Gowns Bridal help match your preowned wedding gown or bridal accessories with another bride!

If you’re in or around the Hammonton area in South Jersey, contact us to schedule a consignment consultation. An appointment is needed to pay us a visit to our shop, where we’ll take a good look at the gown or accessories to see if we can sell them.

You can also send us a quick email with as many pictures of your items as you can, and we’ll get back to you ASAP on whether it would be a good fit for our bridal boutique.

Step 2: Make a deal

Once we’ve decided that your preowned gown is the right fit, we’ll have an open and honest conversation about how the gown will be priced.

Generally, we’ll sell your secondhand dress from its original retail price by 30% and use that as the starting price for “like new” preowned bridal gowns.

Hand-Me-Gowns Bridal’s consignment share split is 60/40 for preowned gowns and accessories less than 2 years old and priced at $1,000 or above and 50/50 for all other items. Keep in mind we WILL NOT ACCEPT gowns from collection years prior to 2021.

Step 3: Wait and see

When your gown finds its match, we pop that bubbly! Someone from our bridal team will reach out to you within 24 hours of the sale to let you know that your dress has sold. Expect a check with your name on it to be mailed to you on the 1st or 15th of the month (whichever is the closer date). Our payment process is smooth and straightforward.

As part of our standard agreement, we’ll store and show your items for up to 6 months, with the potential to hold your gown for up to a year. If there’s no buyer after that, you’ll have 30 days to retrieve the bridal gown or accessory from our boutique during regular business hours or we can donate your items on your behalf. You also have the option of negotiating an extension on your consignment with us.
